International Marconi Day

N2MO/IMD Special Event Station

The N2MO station at InfoAge is one of the North American stations particpating in this annual event. N2MO will be operating from Building 9116, located on the banks of the Shark River. Building 9116 is aproximately 1000 feet east from the Original Belmar Marconi Receiving building.

International Marconi Day operations will take place on all HF Bands with all modes of communication encouraged. In addition to OMARC (N2MO) there will be many high profile official participating groups around the world representing former Marconi operating locations.

Amateur Radio stations particpiating in the event will receive a unique certificate from the Cornish Radio Amateur Club.   The certificate is of a very high quality and is well worth obtaining to display on the wall of any shack. It is based on an original Marconi stock certificate, circa 1901, and is offered each year under a number of different categories.

International Marconi Day will take place on April 20th, 2012. Although the event will run for a full 24 hours from 0000 to 2359 UTC, N2MO will be on the air Saturday from 13:00 UCT to about 19:00 UCT.
